GMFS Mortgage Sponsors Patriots for Freedom Hero Cup

Monday, March 25 – First Responders met at the University Club Golf Course to participate in the Hero Cup. GMFS is excited and proud to have been a sponsor of this tournament. Frank Gumpert is the director of Sales, Membership and Marketing at UC.  He hopes to make this an annual event, to show our appreciation for these first responders. Gumpert invited 28 players to represent Fire Fighters, Police, Military and the sponsors. Among these sponsors were GMFS, Goss wealth Management, First Bank and Trust, Group Insurance Incorporated, Louisiana Dental Plan, Gerry Lane Enterprises and the St. George professional Firefighters L-4524.

Sunday evening, a party in “Club 38” at L’Auberge Casino began the event. 11:30 Monday morning the teams met for their Pictures, with the FireFighters in red, Police in blue, Military in green and our sponsors in yellow. The FireFighters won this scramble format tournament but all players had refreshments on the course provided by many Baton Rouge restaurants. This provided a great opportunity for GMFS to give back to those who give to us every day.
