GMFS Mortgage Employees Graduate from LMBA Future Leaders Program
GMFS Mortgage is proud to congratulate our employees who graduated from the 2025–2026 Louisiana Mortgage Bankers Association (LMBA) Future Leaders Program at the 2026 LMBA Annual Conference.
The nine-month program brings together emerging mortgage professionals from across Louisiana to expand their knowledge of the mortgage industry, develop leadership skills and build relationships with other professionals who are helping shape the future of the industry.

Developing the Next Generation of Mortgage Leaders
The LMBA Future Leaders Program is designed to educate, mentor and prepare the next generation of mortgage professionals in Louisiana. Led by experienced industry leaders, the program provides participants with an immersive look at the many facets of the mortgage business.
Over the course of nine months, participants attended educational seminars and worked alongside peers from mortgage companies across the state. The program covered all aspects of the mortgage industry, helping participants broaden their understanding of the business while developing new skills and professional connections.
Participants also benefited from:

- Professional development and leadership training
- Networking opportunities with mortgage professionals from across Louisiana
- A hands-on team project designed to put their knowledge into practice
Putting Their Knowledge to Work
One of the highlights of the program was a team capstone project in which participants were challenged to create their own independent mortgage bank (IMB).
Teams developed their business concepts and presented their IMBs to industry leaders at the 2026 LMBA Annual Conference.
Special congratulations to GMFS Mortgage employees Stacey Britton and Rebecca Squyres, whose team was selected as the winning project! 🏆
The project gave participants an opportunity to apply the knowledge they gained throughout the program to a real-world business challenge, including developing their own vision for an independent mortgage company.
The winning project is a great example of the creativity, collaboration, strategic thinking and industry knowledge developed through the LMBA Future Leaders experience.
Earning the LML Designation
Graduates of the program also earned the LML — Louisiana Mortgage Leader — designation upon completion.
The designation recognizes professionals who have completed the LMBA Future Leaders Program and demonstrated a commitment to continued education, leadership development and the future of Louisiana’s mortgage industry.
For GMFS Mortgage, these accomplishments are an important reminder of the talent and leadership potential within our organization.
