About Blake
Blake Maggio is a Branch Manager with GMFS Mortgage, bringing more than 20 years of mortgage lending experience to homebuyers throughout Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama. Since joining GMFS in September 2008, Blake has built a reputation for providing personalized guidance, creative financing solutions, and an exceptional client experience from application to closing.
Blake specializes in a wide variety of loan programs, including Construction-to-Permanent, Conventional, FHA, VA, Rural Development (USDA), Renovation, and DSCR loans. He enjoys tackling complex financing scenarios and takes pride in finding solutions that help clients achieve their homeownership goals while meeting lending guidelines. Rather than simply processing loans, Blake views every transaction as an opportunity to solve a unique puzzle and create the best possible outcome for each borrower.
Known for his approachable communication style, Blake believes that building relationships are just as important as closing loans. He takes the time to get to know every client, answer questions, and explain available financing options so borrowers feel informed and confident throughout the mortgage process. His goal is to be more than a one-time lender—he strives to build lasting relationships and remain a trusted mortgage resource long after closing day.
As Branch Manager, one of Blake’s proudest accomplishments has been growing his branch and mentoring loan officers as they build successful careers and achieve their own professional goals. His leadership and commitment to excellence have earned him recognition as a Top Producer, Chairman’s Club member, and a 2022 Scotsman Guide Top Originator.
A Baton Rouge native, Blake enjoys spending time with his family and is the proud father of four children. Outside of work, he’s an avid movie buff who appreciates a great Italian restaurant and loves to travel whenever he gets the chance. With one daughter recently married, another who graduated from LSU and now lives in North Carolina, one beginning LSU this fall, and another starting her career, Blake is looking forward to checking even more destinations off his travel list in the years ahead.
