When considering the development of this site, we knew early on it was special. Not only is this property centrally located in the hot area of Mid City Baton Rouge and within the boundaries of Old Goodwood, the history of the site is also charming.  Part of the tract was once owned by a local poet, Mary. B Wall, whose poems were published in a book called OF ONE EARTH, or “D’une Terre” in French.   Many of the poems within are about the beauties of nature.  The name “D’une Terre” is not only symbolic of this past owner. It also has a deeper meaning within the simplicity of the phrase itself, which connects nature to self, and self to community. D’une Terre was carefully designed to honor the history of the land and to hold close a sense of connection to nature and community.  Come experience the difference for yourself!
