Stinson Lanoix is a Loan Officer with GMFS Mortgage who has been helping homebuyers achieve their homeownership goals since 2020. During his six years with GMFS, he has built a reputation for providing a personalized, detail-oriented experience while making the mortgage process as simple and stress-free as possible.
Stinson works with a wide range of loan programs, including USDA, Conventional, FHA, VA, and DSCR loans, allowing him to help first-time homebuyers, growing families, veterans, and real estate investors find the financing solution that best fits their needs. His personal philosophy is simple: make the complex simple, eliminate surprises, and help every client achieve the best possible outcome.
Known for being personable, patient, and attentive to detail, Stinson believes every borrower deserves clear communication and guidance throughout the lending process. One of the most rewarding parts of his job is seeing the excitement on a client’s face—whether they’re purchasing their very first home or building the home they’ve always dreamed of.
A career milestone Stinson is especially proud of was seeing his name rank among the company’s Top 5 producers early in his career. It was an accomplishment he never expected to achieve so soon and one that reflects the support of his team, referral partners, and clients.
Outside of the office, Stinson is a member of The Forge Group, a Baton Rouge networking organization that brings together professionals from a variety of industries. Originally born in Fort Worth, Texas, he later lived in Jackson, Mississippi, before settling in Baton Rouge as a teenager, where he now proudly calls home.
When he’s not helping clients, Stinson enjoys traveling, playing pickleball, and golfing. Before entering the mortgage industry, he even launched his own travel business after graduating from college—an experience that helped shape his entrepreneurial mindset and passion for serving others. You’ll also likely find him enjoying a Friday night at one of his favorite local restaurants, DiGiulio Brothers.
Stinson is grateful for the unwavering support of his wife, who stood by him through the challenges of the mortgage market, as well as his parents, whose encouragement helped him stay the course. He also credits his partner, Austin Rose, and his Loan Officer Assistant, Morgan McKey, as invaluable members of his team, helping ensure every loan reaches the closing table smoothly and successfully.
