GMFS Mortgage Names Chip Adkins Chief Growth Officer
GMFS Mortgage announced the appointment of Chip Adkins as Chief Growth Officer, expanding the company’s executive team as it continues to grow its presence in the residential mortgage market. In the role, Adkins will lead GMFS’s growth strategy across its lending channels, with a focus on serving more borrowers, deepening partnerships, and enhancing the experience for the company’s referral partners.

Adkins brings more than 25 years of experience leading growth, strategy, sales, operations, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation across the residential mortgage industry. He has held senior leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer, President, and Chief Strategy Officer, with experience spanning retail, wholesale, correspondent, servicing, capital markets, technology, and corporate strategy.
Most recently, Adkins served as President of Mortgage Forward. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Home Mortgage Corporation and held executive leadership positions with Franklin American Mortgage Company. He began his career with KPMG after earning a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi and becoming a Certified Public Accountant.
The appointment reflects GMFS’s deliberate investment in its leadership bench as the company positions itself to compete and grow in a demanding market.

He resides in Birmingham, Alabama, with his wife and is the proud father of two.
