Before entering the mortgage industry, he spent nine years working in finance, giving him a strong financial foundation that continues to benefit his clients today. Darren joined GMFS Mortgage in April 2005 and has built a reputation for providing knowledgeable guidance, clear communication, and personalized service throughout the lending process.
Darren specializes in One-Time Close Construction Loans, FHA, and VA financing. Construction lending is especially rewarding for him because he enjoys helping families turn their vision into reality and watching them build the homes they’ve always dreamed of.
What truly sets Darren apart is his commitment to personal service. Rather than passing clients from person to person, he believes in being their direct point of contact from start to finish. His focus on communication, accessibility, and treating every client with honesty and respect creates a smooth, stress-free mortgage experience.

He is also involved in the mortgage community through the Louisiana Mortgage Bankers Association (LMBA) and maintains strong connections within the Orange County, Texas business community.
Outside the office, Darren enjoys giving back through Bethlehem Baptist Church and volunteering with the Albany Booster Athletic Club. Originally from Albany, Louisiana, he enjoys weekend travel, hiking, gardening, and farming in his free time. Darren credits his strong work ethic to the example set by both his father and his paw-paw, who was a farmer. Growing up helping on his grandfather’s farm taught him the value of hard work, integrity, and treating people the right way—principles that continue to guide how he serves every client today.
