About Ashley
Ashley Neely is the Branch Manager and Senior Loan Officer for GMFS Mortgage in Lake Charles, Louisiana. A lifelong Lake Charles resident and proud graduate of McNeese State University with a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Ashley has been helping individuals and families achieve their homeownership goals since 2001. She has proudly served clients with GMFS Mortgage for the past nine years.
With more than two decades of mortgage lending experience, Ashley specializes in construction loans and helping first-time homebuyers navigate the path to homeownership. She believes one of the most rewarding parts of her job is turning what can feel like an overwhelming process into one that is simple, straightforward, and stress-free. Seeing first-time buyers gain confidence throughout the journey—and ultimately handing them the keys to their new home—is what motivates her every day.
Known for her clear communication, personalized service, and attention to detail, Ashley takes the time to understand each client’s unique financial goals and works to find the financing solution that best fits their needs. Her commitment to exceptional service helps keep every loan moving smoothly from application to closing.
Throughout her career, Ashley has been recognized as one of the Top Originators in the Scotsman Guide (2022) and has earned a place among GMFS Mortgage’s Top 10 Loan Originators multiple times. One of her proudest accomplishments is becoming a trusted resource for both her clients and referral partners, building lasting relationships through honesty, expertise, and dependable service.
Ashley is actively involved in the Southwest Louisiana community as a member of the Southwest Louisiana Real Estate Association, where she serves on the Cultural Diversity and Community Involvement Committee. She is also a member of the Southwest Louisiana Chamber of Commerce and the Southwest Louisiana Home Builders Association.
Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband, Jimmie, and their two children, Thad and Jami. She’s an avid Disney World fan, loves thrift shopping, and enjoys spending time outdoors fishing, camping, hiking local trails, and boating on the Calcasieu River. When she’s looking for a favorite local meal, you’ll likely find her at Luna Bar & Grill.
